She was 90 years young. She is survived by her brothers, Richard, Joe (Sheila), Tommie (Joanne) and sister Judy Gildea
McLaughlin (Bob). She was loved and an inspiration to 90 nieces and nephews of three generations. Born in Hollidaysburg PA in 1926 she was stricken with polio at age one. She overcame her lifelong struggles never to be without a positive attitude toward life. She came to
DC in 1950 and rose in the ranks of government secretaries culminating in serving as administrative assistant to the Deputy Director of USIA. After retirement she worked at Catholic parishes in the Diocese of Washington serving as bookkeeper extraordinaire and finding friends and admirers along the way.
