William H. Stanley IV, 41 of Columbia MD, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at University of Maryland Medical Center after a short illness. He was the son of Martha B. Stanley and the late William Stanley III of Manassas Virginia were William was born and raised. His friends called him Will. He enjoyed watching movies like Aliens, Star Wars, Prometheus, and horror movies. His favorite TV series is The Golden Girls and his love for Madonna music. He enjoyed walking, trailing and road trips with his friend Steve Kubat Jr. of Pennsylvania and spending time in the mountains. Will spent many years working in retail management. He loved working with people that is where he met his best friend of 16 years Lisa Maher of Virginia and Rumit Pancholi of Maryland and several other friends. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Surviving were his partner of 1 year and 4 months Chris G. De Torres they were married on May 26, 2016 and sister Martha Lee Brummett of Virgina and his niece Courtney Brummett of Virginia who he was very close too. Also his grandparents Lilian Mahoney of Virginia and his late grandfather William (Madeline) Mahoney, Martha L. Stanley and William H. Stanley Jr., aunts, uncles and cousins. He also loved his cat Vickers. There will be a celebration of William’s life at a later date for family and friends.
