On Friday, September 1, 2017, beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Winifred McDermott of Ireland; loving sister of Elizabeth O'Donoghue of County Cork, Ireland, and Patricia McKune of Scotland. "Miss Bridget", as she was known, immigrated to the the United States in 1964, where she found work for the first 3 years as a Nanny in Potomac, Md after which she worked for the Greenbelt Convalescent Center as a nurse then transferred to Holy Cross Hospital, from where she eventually retired after 28 years of service. She was a devoted member of St. Hugh of Grenoble Catholic Church, serving on the Ladies of Charity and Ladies of Soldality. She also served Christ, as she devoted herself to aiding the priests with their daily church affairs and helped with organizing and decorating the church for holidays and special affairs. She has left her mark in the Greenbelt community and her church. She is also survived by many other loving family members and friends.
