Clara Elizabeth Robertson

After battling a long illness, beloved wife and mother Clara passed away peacefully on December 14th, 2018 surrounded by her husband of sixty-four years, William, and her three children, Patricia Chapin, Michael Robertson, and James Robertson.  She was 84.

Clara was an angel disguised as a kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She loved family gatherings, travel, and reunions with relatives and friends in NY, VA, and around the country.  She enjoyed sailing, travel with her husband, and reading biographies of past and present political figures. Her career involved work with the FBI, U.S. Treasury, Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, and the University of Maryland.

Clara is also survived by her daughter-in-law Cynthia (Michael), four grandchildren, and countless relatives and friends.  She was pre-deceased by her father John C. Luther in 1977, her mother Agnes C. Luther in 2008, and her sister Sally Neighly in 2010.
