JOHN ROBERT HOLLOMAN, 80, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, passed away on June 24, 2017 peacefully in his sleep.

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday June 27, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the Borgwardt Funeral Home. Pastor Fay of College Park United Methodist Church will be officiating.

John was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia on April 14, 1937. He graduated from Harrisonburg High School. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and spent the next four years on the West Coast and in the South Pacific.

John was married to Salva J. (Gregg) on June 9, 1962. They recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.

John worked nearby at NASA and Walmart for nearly 50 years. He was active in Little League, Boy Scouts and a local walking club.

He is survived by his wife Salva, his two sons, J.R. and McKay, his grandson Billy and a grandpuppy Milton.

He will be dearly missed by countless lives that he has touched.
