John Robert McAdams, 56, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the University Medical Center in Baltimore after he succumbed to complications from a massive stroke he had in August. 

John was born August 26, 1963 in Washington, D.C. to John and Peggy (Connolly) McAdams. He graduated from High Point High School in 1981 and attended the University of Maryland majoring in journalism. In 2001 he got married and moved to Prince Frederick, MD. He worked in the real estate industry for over twenty years and enjoyed the successes of his career. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved Maryland Basketball and the Washington Capitals. John also was an animal lover and gave many unwanted pets a loving home throughout his life. His favorite past time was spending time with his family and helping his children achieve their goals academically and in sports. 

John was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy, and his father, John. He is survived by his former wife and lifelong friend of 26 years, Debbie McAdams, son Owen, daughters Lauren and Paige, brothers Steven McAdams and Michael McAdams, nephews Conor McAdams, Sean McAdams, and Gary Kisner, nieces Rachel McAdams and Megan Kisner, and Aunt Vicki Connolly.  Additionally, he is survived by many loving cousins, in-laws, and a host of long-time friends.
