On June 9, 2018, Robert Bordley passed away peacefully at Arbor Ridge in the Riderwood Community. He was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of Mary Jacobs and Carleton Bordley. At the age of 17, he joined the navy and served in World War II. After the war, he attended Loyola College and earned a degree in accounting. He worked for the Department of Defense and continued his education at the Harvard Business School. He was appointed to the Senior Executive Service and was Chief of Accounting and Finance at the Defense Logistics Agency. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann, and his four children, Robert (Nancy), Tom (Rosemary), Paul (Kathy), and Ann and his five grandchildren. He was married to his wife Ann for 63 years and they were great bridge partners for 67 years. He immensely enjoyed travel, chess, and duckpin and lawn bowling. He was a loyal Redskins and Orioles fan.
