I really enjoyed the video! I can still hear Mr. Lapelosa's laugh - he was a character and had a great personality! I love the early pics and remember the era. After high school, we all joined the service. I remember Joe in his Army uniform. Love the pics of Joe, too! I'm retired and living outside the country fin Panama. I'm there in spirit!

The Lapelosa family moved to Ammendale Road some 65 years ago. I met Joe - we were the only boys in the neighborhood. We were both 5-6 years old and became life-long friends. Ms. Lapelosa was a second mom to me and boy, could she cook! I have many fond memories of Ms. Lapelosa and the family as well. What a great lady and truly the Matriarch of the family!
