My dear friend,
You helped me through the death of my father and Leon. What a true gift your visit was. You always had a way of cheering people up and cheering people on. It warmed my heart to think of you teaching and coaching all those lucky kids. You made a real difference. My prayers go out to your family.

Walter Hardy was a teacher at Col E. Brooke Lee Middle School when I was a student there. I didn't have him as a teacher but my brother did and I heard so many wonderful things about him. Most of the staff said he was such a pleasure to be around and would take time out of his way to help out anyone at any time. I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Hardy's passing but I thoughts are with his family during this sad time. I am so sorry for your loss.

We are so sorry about the loss of such a wonderful person, friend, husband and father. We pray for the comfort of many warm memories and also the true hope that soon death will be no more and we will never mourn again (Isaiah 25:8). Until then may God heal your broken hearts and grant you peace.

Walter-
We will never know the day or hour when we will be called Home. But we do know, you taught us and showed us how to make the most of our time in the Here and Now.
Thank you my friend. Until we meet again.

Although life took us in different directions after graduation from PBHS, I will always cherish our friendship growing up in Calverton & remember you as being someone who positively impacted all of those around you. It was never a dull moment being around you & your impact on the community will be missed. God Bless you and your family.

Walt - Seems like just yesterday growing up in Calverton with you. You really made everyone seem at ease no matter what the occasion. It takes a special person to do that - you are that person. No matter whom you met or where you were, there was always a crowd around you. You had that special light that shone from your heart that everyone wanted to be around. From Calverton, to Galway, to Key, to Paint Branch to the Calverton Swim Club, to Red Lion Lane, to Paint Branch to Kennedy to Sherwood. You will always be with us as your light, your love, is in our hearts forever - a forever tattoo imprinted by you who inspired others to be their best, who treated anyone he met like family - and just like family; we will be there for Mary, Olivia and Chase - just like you did for all of us

Walt,
You will be missed more than you could ever know.
You touched so many lives. Making us all want to enjoy our lives a little bit more. Be more kind, more giving and always be there for anyone that needs help. We never could image that such a great friendship would come out of the PBHS concession stands. So many memories, so many laughs. Great times, great friendships . You are a true legend. The PBHS family has it from here. We will look after Mary, Olivia, and Chase. We love you will all our heart đź’•
