Elmo Rush Webb

August 10, 1928 — October 26, 2023

Elmo is survived by his long-term companion, Lois Hamilton. He is also survived by his son David, and wife Susan; and son Daniel, and wife Crystal. Elmo and his late wife, Emma, are now finally reunited in Heaven.
He has three surviving grandsons, Matt, and wife Tracy; Andrew, and wife Jaime; and Jason, and wife Katelin; as well as 7 great-grandchildren.
Elmo was a dedicated member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. As he served in the US Marine Corp as well as the Army, he also later became a dedicated DC police officer and even worked in the White House as a secret service agent.
Elmo loved playing bluegrass with his band, the String Busters. He spent much of his free time golfing, bowling, swimming, and exercising at the gym. He also enjoyed watching football and baseball on television, except when the Commanders or Nationals were losing. However, his loved ones don’t know which was greater, his passion for sports, food, or traveling.
Elmo loved to travel often with Lois. They enjoyed Hawaii, Myrtle Beach, and Alaska to name just a few places.
But nobody would argue that his greatest passions were his family and friends. Lois, and his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and daughters-in-law were clearly his joy. Perhaps Elmo is shining down living through his loved ones today.
