Charlotte Ann Weaver (née Armstrong) of Calverton has peacefully passed away at age 86, while her loving husband of 60 years sat by her side at North Pines assisted living, in Manchester MD.
Charlotte was born April 21st, 1939 to Ruth and Charles Armstrong in Washington DC. Charlotte graduated from Anacostia High School in 1957 and went on to lead a successful career as a supervisor at Washington Gas, where she retired in 1997. A devout catholic, Charlotte attended church every Sunday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Beltsville. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, playing bingo, and visiting the slot machines at Atlantic City, but she loved traveling the country with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Always leading by example, Charlotte always showed up for the people she loved most, never missing a single game or event for her children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren, where she could often be seen wearing her own homemade sports apparel to show her love and support.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, William Edward Weaver; her 3 children Charles Albert Becraft (wife Sherrie), Tracey Ann Burns (née Becraft), and William Brett Weaver (wife Svetlana); her 8 Grandchildren Jaimie, Shane, Heather, Casey, Tiffany, Brittnie, Billy, and Conner; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Charlotte is pre-deceased by her sister Dolores, her niece Debra, her brother-in-law Robert, her son in law Roy, and her granddaughter Crystal.
Viewing services will be held at Borgwardt’s Funeral Home in Beltsville MD on April 9th, 2026 beginning at 5pm. Guests are encouraged to wear something including Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse to the viewing.
The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Charlotte’s caregivers at the end, both her at-home nurse Yulianna and the staff at North Pines, for the love and care they have shown to the matriarch of their family.
