On Thursday August 27th, 2026, Eileen Marie Hutchison (nee Sullivan) of Adelphi, Maryland passed away peacefully with family by her side at 91 years old. She was proceeded in death by her late husband Ronald (Hut) E. Hutchison, grand-daughter Melissa, parents, siblings, other family and friends. Survived by her four sons: Michael (Bettye), Ronald (Lynn), Gary (Theresa), Mark (Linda) her grandchildren: Lauren Dixon (Kassey), Kathleen Kelley (Daniel), Brittany Richardson (Anthony), Erin Stargel (Michael), Eric Hutchison (Jessica Riely-Hutchison), Hailey Kulp (Jason), Bryan Hutchison, Michelle Ploor (Steven), Marsha Glorioso (Zachary); with her 15 great-grandchildren: Camryn, Hayleigh, Landon, Trent, Logan, Colton, Harper, Paige, Emily, Madison, Zander, Asher, Brooke, Shelby and Preston, with a large extended family.

Eileen was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, grand/great mother, and a dedicated friend. In 1952 the newlyweds began traveling the world until his deployment took them to live in Switzerland, after returning to the United States, her focus turned to motherhood and creating a family home in Aldephi, Maryland where raised all four of their sons. Her home was known as the neighborhood hot spot, everyone who knocked on the door was welcomed in as long as they were wearing Redskins colors, no blue & silver allowed. As her children grew, she ran the neighborhood newspaper, “The Knollwood News” she would hand type and publish current events, sports updates, and youth activities for everyone to be in the ‘know’. After her youngest son started full-time school, she started her employment with TL-SEC Personnel quickly becoming the highest grossing salesperson in the company which earned her multiple achievement and sales awards, and world-wide vacations which helped expand her love of travel. After leaving TL-SEC she opened AH Personnel Staffing in 1981 which was rebranded as an individually owned staffing agency known as HuTch Staffing, INC. in 1982, where she sat as CEO. After four decades of providing employment for thousands across seven states focusing on the DMV area, HuTch closed for business in 2014. She enjoyed her life to the fullest, known for her impressive Kings in the Corner card skills, her infamous eggnog, her bright red ‘natural’ bouffant with her hot red lipstick and secret stash of black shoe-string licorice. You could find her dancing on a cruise ship, sitting on the porch picking crabs, or celebrating her Irish heritage with a Manhattan in hand - she would always make sure you left her company feeling loved. Although her passing leaves an immeasurable hole in the hearts of those who loved her, there is comfort in knowing she is reunited with Ron, Melissa, and the loved ones who passed before her.
