On August 12, 2026, the world grew quieter with the passing of Hector Arvidas Rigor Hipol, 34, of Beltsville, Maryland.
Born in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines in 1992, Hector moved to the United States in 2004 and carried with him a gentleness that left a lasting imprint on everyone he met. He lived softly, offering kindness without fanfare and touching lives in ways that were subtle yet deeply felt.
Music was Hector’s second language. Through it, he expressed the depth of his heart, his tenderness, his introspection, and his quiet joy. His musical gift, paired with his gentle nature, endeared him to relatives, friends, and strangers alike. Animals, too, seemed naturally drawn to him as if he were one of their own.
Hector found joy in video games and online communities, where he connected with people across the world. In those spaces he built friendships rooted in teamwork and shared adventures. He also had a remarkable talent for building custom desktop computers, carefully choosing each component, assembling them with precision, and helping friends and family bring their digital worlds to life. It was another way he expressed his quiet creativity and his desire to help others.
Those who knew him will remember his calm presence, his thoughtful spirit, and the way he made life feel a little more peaceful for them. He was the kindest of souls, never wanting to hurt anyone, always offering help where it mattered, and giving more of himself than he ever asked in return. Those who loved him will carry his spirit forward by honoring his legacy of gentleness, compassion, and quiet strength.
Hector is survived by his father, Francisco; his mother, Analyn; and his brother, Hans Mikhail.
A viewing will be held on August 18 from 3:00-4:00 PM, followed by a celebration of his life on August 19 from 10:00-11:00 AM. Holy Mass will immediately follow. Services will take place at Donald V. Borgwardt Funeral Home, 4400 Powder Mill Rd., Beltsville, MD 20705.
