James "Jim" Kenneth Fulcher

James Kenneth Fulcher, 81 of Beltsville MD passed away on March 15, 2026. Born on June 30th 1944 to William Kenneth and Esther Mae Fulcher, Jim was known for his quick wit and clever jokes. His passion for playing the trumpet, learned from his father, ranged from the high school marching band to training classically and playing big band gigs. He attended High Point High School and University of Maryland majoring in math and music. During employment, Jim was known for his integrity and work ethic, regardless of the job. For over a decade Jim could easily be found on a wooden bench, in period costume reveling in the renaissance festival. Jim was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Lynn Kalec Fulcher. He is survived by his sisters Gwen Freed and Linda Hopkins. And his children: Ian Christopher Fulcher, Megan Esther Rieker, Kirt Drew Fulcher, Jared Golden Fulcher, Owen Garr Fulcher, Gwynn Valentine Fulcher, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
