John Edward Divver, age 80, of Brandon, Florida, passed away suddenly on April 13, 2026.

A native of Maryland and Washington, D.C., John lived a full and vibrant life defined by hard work, friendship, family, and an unmistakable enthusiasm for living. He built a successful career in the automotive industry that spanned more than five decades. Beginning as a salesperson in the early 1970s, John's dedication, determination, and natural ability to connect with people led him to become a dealership owner in the 1990s. He took great pride in his work and the many relationships he built throughout his career.

John was truly the life of the party. He never met a stranger and had a gift for making people feel welcome. His sense of humor, larger-than-life personality, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. If there was one phrase that summed up John's approach to life, it would be, "I did it my way."

Above all else, John cherished his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sherri Carroll; his brothers, Vincent Divver and Joseph Divver; his sons, Michael Divver and Steven Divver; five cherished grandchildren; and countless friends whose lives were enriched by his presence.

John's legacy will live on through the memories, laughter, stories, and love he shared with so many throughout his life. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 18, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Donald V. Borgwardt Funeral Home, 4400 Powder Mill Road, Beltsville, Maryland 20705. Family, friends, and coworkers are warmly invited to attend and celebrate John's remarkable life.
