Husband of Betty Hurst for 65 years; father of Debra Hurst Cooper and Lester Mark Hurst; grandfather of Dana Cooper Miller, Lester Mark Hurst, Jr., and Elyse Margaret Cooper; son of the late James and Elsie Hurst. Lester was one of 13 children. Prior to his retirement in 1992, Lester was employed as an electrical engineer for the federal government. He was a lector for many years at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Beltsville and volunteered in the computer lab at their school. Lester was a loving, devoted family man.
