Nancy Alma (Smith) Kupperian

Peacefully, after a brief illness. A resident of Silver Spring, Nancy is survived by her loving companion, Charles W. Smith; her children, Michelle Biess, John Biess, Jamie Kupperian, and Ginger Butcher; grandchildren, Bonnie, Alexandra, and Hannah; and her sister, Blanche Magnotti, of Staten Island, NY. She began her career as a data technician at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, then worked as an accountant until she found her true calling: travel agent specializing in cruises. Nancy was an active woman who enjoyed traveling, dancing, sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, and volunteering - most recently at the National Air and Space Museum.   In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Nature Conservancy.
