Carl F. Boushell

Carl Boushell died on February 11th after a brief illness. He was born to Bertha and Harold Boushell on February 3, 1930 in Stroudsburg, PA. After graduating high school, he honorably served in the US Air Force from March 1954 - January 1958. He was stationed in Liverpool, England where he met and married Audrey Gibson on March 31, 1956. They moved to Greenbelt in 1958 and Carl worked at the US Government Printing Office in Washington, DC for 30 years. Through the years he enjoyed nature and the outdoors, including hunting with his brother, jogging around the lake, gardening with Audrey, and volunteering for the Boy Scouts of America, Little League Softball, and until very recently for the Meals on Wheels of College Park. Carl and Audrey have been members of the United Methodist church since moving to Greenbelt. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Audrey, and by his daughters Judy Fox, Carla (deceased), Lorraine (Michael), Valerie (Kumar) and a son Clinton (Susan) and grandsons Michael (Christine), Eric, Nicholas, and Stephen and many nephews and nieces. Visitation will be at the Donald V. Borgwardt Funeral Home (4400 Powder Mill Rd., Beltsville, MD 20705, 301-937-1701) on Friday February 14th from 4-8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 15th at 11 AM at the Mowatt Memorial United Methodist Church on Ridge Rd. in Greenbelt, MD.
