Carmen Maria Sotelo Sanchez

Carmen Sotelo Sánchez was the purest soul anyone can come across. It was the little things that stand out - her soft voice, the café con leche, the word search puzzles, her Rancheros, Mexican black and white films, her telenovelas, the dancing, the ability to drink like a sailor, and her soft sweet hands.  

She left her country, Nicaragua, to be with her children. She sacrificed a lot to get to this country. She was the pillar of the Munguía Sotelo Family.

Carmen was a woman with a big heart and strong character. She took care of us, gave us advice, spoiled us, and loved us in her own way. Not only was she our mother, but she was a grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, daughter, aunt, sister, and friend. 

She has left us a void with her physical departure, but we will always carry her in our minds and especially in our hearts.
We will love you forever, Mama.
