Chris Maschauer Obituary

On Thursday, February 20, 2020 Chris Lee Maschauer, Sr. peacefully passed away at home with family by his side.

Survived by three children, Chris Maschauer, Jr. of Napa, CA, Dawn Maschauer of Severn, MD, Neil Maschauer of Cambridge, MD, and his wife, Cathy, who blessed him with two wonderful grandchildren, Parker Richard Maschauer and Kaitlin Luciel Maschauer; loving sister, Carol Slaughter and her husband, Gary, nephew, Mike Bingamon and his wife, Tiffany, niece, Connie Bingamon and her son, Shri Whalan. Preceded in death by his loving parents, Richard and Luciel Maschauer of Beltsville, MD.

Chris joined the US NAVY after high school. He served on the USS Ranger and the USS Biddle during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed playing softball with the his co-workers on a WSSC team and later on a "Seniors" league. He was a member of the APA (American Pool Association) for 25 years, played in over 1000 matches. He loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing, golf, and tennis. One of his favorite past times, aka "family time" was spent making homemade venison sausage.
