Diane Chermak Obituary

Diane Rae Chermak passed away on July 13th, 2021 in Anderson, SC.

Diane was born in Waltham Massachusetts. The majority of her younger years were spent in Maryland creating beloved memories with her parents and four brothers. Diane married Mark Chermak and they welcomed their daughter, Laura, who was her biggest accomplishment and most prized gift in life. Diane spent most of her years in Orlando raising Laura where she met a group of girlfriends through school that stayed close ever since. Laura married Stephen Webber in 2018 and just as Diane wished, they had a beautiful daughter, Odette, who is now 7 1/2 months old. Nana loved her granddaughter so much that the second Laura went into labor, she got on the road and drove through the night from South Carolina to New York to be there for the homecoming of her little swan princess.

Diane loved reading, taking care of her plants, and cooking. She had the nicest handwriting and enjoyed sending out cards to her loved ones for almost EVERY occasion, seriously. She loved a nice cold beer, a FOSTERS, but a Yuengling did the trick too. I think we all know Diane liked to have a good time. It couldn’t be clearer that she loved her daughter, friends, and family unconditionally. Unfortunately, Diane had a history of strokes which was the reasoning behind her leaving us too soon. She had been through so much during her life but always fought through it. Her last few weeks were filled with people she loved, beautiful weather, and great cocktails!

For someone who continually struggled with her memory, she never failed to remember the most specific details about each of her loved ones. She continually showered us all with the most thoughtful gifts and brought light and spirit to any room she entered. She knew how to make us laugh at her quirkiness and of course, feel loved effortlessly. That will be forever missed.

Diane, Momma, Ms. Chermak, & Nana will remain in our thoughts forever. We love and miss you endlessly.
