Dolores (Garcia) Reese

September 27, 1933 ~ June 14, 2022 (age 88)

Obituary

On Tuesday June 14th, 2022 the most beautiful angel, Dolores (Lola) Reese, was called home. For 88 years she spread love, grace, and kindness on this earth. To know her was to love her.

She was born in the Virgin Islands on September 27, 1933 as the 9th of 10 children. At the age of 7, she moved to Puerto Rico. She was valedictorian of her class, the President of Future Homemakers of America, and the leader of Solidarity of Mary where she led many young women to the Lord. With the help of her sister; Jesse, she came to the U.S. at the age of 18 with the hopes of finding a job in the government but instead found her husband, Neil Reese Jr. She was a stay-at-home mom for 11 years until finding her job in 1968 at the telephone company where she worked until her retirement in December of 1995. Following retirement, she spent her life caring for and helping family, friends, and anyone she thought needed her.

She was a devoted catholic, an active member of the choir and community at Holy Redeemer Church for over 48 years. She loved to listen to music, sing, cook, crochet, and be surrounded by her family.

Loving wife of the late Neil Reese, Jr; Loving mother of Mitzi Baker, Nancy Reese, Michael Reese, David Reese, Lori Frantz, and Maria Clark; Loving grandmother of Jeffery, William, Christopher and wife Nina,

Jacob, Jennifer and husband Dan, Jonathan and Josh; Loving great-grandmother of Emory, A.J. and Hayden; Cherished sister of Marina Hillebrand; also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her beloved church family who all loved her dearly.

Her bright, beautiful soul will forever be remembered.
