HAROLD G. MORAN "Morgan"  
It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the death of Harold G. Moran "Morgan" on April 9, 2020 after a brief illness. Morgan was born in Baltimore County and grew-up in Lansdowne, MD. At age 15, he moved to Oak Ridge, TN where he lived for several years, but moved back to Maryland in 1960 and resided in College Park, MD from 1968 until the time of his passing. Morgan was the son of Cecil G. Moran and Matilda W. Moran. He was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp, a life-long auto mechanic, and former race-car driver. He was the owner of Morgan's Auto Service in Beltsville, MD, and he later worked at and retired from Verizon as one of their top auto equipment technicians. He is survived by his wife Donna Ferguson, daughter Kristina Moran, step-daughter Joie Robinson, grandchildren Michelle VanHorn, Wendi VanHorn, John VanHorn III, Kyle Mascetti, BreAnne Mascetti, Olivia Gray, and great grandchildren Summer Stiebel, Brazen VanHorn, Mason Ford and Lorenzo Ford. Morgan was preceded in death by his son Harold G. Moran, Jr. (1961), daughter Kelli J. Moran (2019) and his sister Alice Walker (2020). He is greatly missed. Morgan loved fishing, boating, Nascar, classic cars, and hanging out with his friends at his favorite local pub. A funeral service for Morgan will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Arlington National Cemetery.
