Kyung "Jeannie" Won Hong

On August 12, 2020, Kyung W. Hong, also known as Jeannie, passed away at the age of 76. She was a respected member of the community, and she will be greatly missed by family, friends, and those who frequented Genie’s Cleaners in Taylor Village, and previously Magic Cleaners in Ellicott City.

She enjoyed listening to Elvis, trying her luck at the slot machines, and traveling when she could. The many hardships in life forged her into a resilient and strong person; always ready to give you advice or commiserate with you over shared ailments. Our brave fighter may be gone, but she will never be forgotten.

Jeannie is survived by her sister, brothers, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Wan S. Hong and Jung E. Hong.
