Obituary


On Monday, June 6, 2022, Loving Husband to the late Cecile Marie, Father & Grandfather, Ovila Remi Paquet died peacefully from a long courageous battle with cancer.
Born June 5, 1942 in St. Georges De Beauce, Canada to the late Rolland Paquet and Venerance Rancourt.


Ovila was one of twelve children, Yvon(Doris), Late Victor(Denise), Late Laurette(Herve), Late Renald & Yolande, Rita(Late Roland), Late Eloi(Marie Clarie), Noel(Denise), Michel(Ghislaine), Louisette(Late Renald), Paula(Gilles),  and Late Rene.


Ovila worked in the construction industry for over 50 years, as a head superintendent for CJ Coakley, working on some significant projects such as the Willard Hotel, Grand Hyatt Hotel, Tysons Corner Mall, VA Hospital, Newseum, and the Ritz Carlton(pentagon) to name a few.


In his free time, Ovila enjoyed hunting in West Virginia, golfing, hanging out with his friends at the Moose Club, and spending time with his family.


Ovila will be genuinely missed, leaving behind his sons Richard(Cathy), John(Nicole), and his grandchildren, Late Kimberly, Jessica, Ryan, Ashley, Pierce, and Johna.  Ovila also had one great-grandchild, Noah.
