Roma Bowman Obituary

On Tuesday, September 14, 2021, Roma S. Bowman, born October 4, 1925 passed peacefully into Eternal Rest. She was the beloved wife of the late Clinton E. Bowman. Survived by her daughter, Marsha Cooksey, grandson, Dustin (Mindy) Cooksey, great-grandchildren, Colton and Landon Cooksey.

She was also predeceased by her sons, Walter and Clyde "Bub" Bowman, son-in-law, Thomas Cooksey, parents, Pearlie and Jessie Sawyer, and brother, Gifford Sawyer.

Roma and Clinton married on November 1, 1946 and moved to Beltsville, where they raised their family. They owned and operated Beltsville Sport Center for 69 years. Roma continued to reside in Beltsville until her death.

At the request of her family there will be a private viewing and service with interment following at Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
