Isabel Abellano Obituary

Isabel Gomez Abellano, known by friends and family as “Wawa”, transitioned to Heavenly peace on November 1, 2018.  Isabel was born to Valentin and Salvacion Gomez on June 10, 1934 in Naga City, Philippines.

Isabel is survived by her husband, Ricardo P. Abellano, Sr., her sons, Ricardo 3rd - 6th (Ding, Dick, Bunoy, and Nonoy), and her sister Lydia Lim Gomez; her niece Marlene Yu Raccuci; her grandchildren, Ariel, Jerome, Airick, Sheila, Jonathan, Eileen, Kevin, Nathan, Ryan, Jonah, Marielle, Melody, Judy-Ann, Robert, Vincent, Kyj, Jayen, Michael, and Martin; her great-grandchildren Hannah, Benicio, Breanna, Maximo, Ethan, Soluna, and Isabelle.  Isabel was the second oldest of four siblings by Valentin and Salvacion.  Isabel’s eldest son, Ricardo Jr., transitioned to eternal rest in 2007.

Isabel migrated to the United States in 1982 and lived in New Carrollton, MD.  She worked part time in a food processing plant as well as a devoted housewife.  Isabel loved spending time and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren throughout her life.  She loved cooking her delicious filipino dishes for friends and family and enjoyed watching her daytime soap operas and filipino TV shows.

Isabel was the pillar and foundation of the Abellano family.  She was loved and adored by family and friends and will be dearly missed. Though her physical presence is gone, her spirit and unconditional love of family will live on forever.

Wawa, we miss you and love you.  You are now reunited with Rico in Heaven.  Rest peacefully beautiful angel.
