William A. Duvall III

William Alvan Duvall III (87) of Frederick, MD passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019 due to complications of a stroke in 2006. Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 27th, 2019 at 6:00 PM at Donald V. Borgwardt Funeral Home at 4400 Powdermill Road Beltsville, MD 20705. Bill was born on March 28, 1932 in Branchville, MD to William Alvan Duvall II and Lula Mae Duvall. After completing school, he served in the Marines 90 Millimeter anti-aircraft gun battalion in Korea. Upon returning home, he served as a police officer for the Hyattsville Police Department. He then became a truck driver before ending his career as a Transportation Supervisor for Great Oaks Center. He moved to Homosassa , Florida in 1997 to enjoy his retirement. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Elizabeth Duvall, his sisters Helen Jenkins and Catherine Daniels, his sons; Billy Duvall, and Wayne Duvall. Bill is survived by his children; Beverly Kuzbyt, Vicki Richards (Tracy), Robin Schweers (Brian), Warren Duvall, Paul Duvall (Toni), Kim Kelly (Sean), and Michelle Davis, His grandchildren; Brian Suthard, (Kim), Bradley Ellickson (Susan), Mickey Stebbing (Jill), Tracy Harrell (Roy), Ronda Ayre(Ed), Kristi Martucci (Matt), Beth Marshall (Justin), Sean Duvall, Amanda Kennedy (James), Heather Richards, Curtis Duvall, Amber Kelly, Samantha Gonzales, Jessica Kelly, and Andrew Davis, as well as 19 great-grandchildren, his ex wife, Cathy, daughter-in-law, Pam Duvall, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Throughout his life he enjoyed fishing, camping, building model airplanes and boats, tinkering with cars, trucks, racecars, and supporting the Washington Redskins. He loved nothing more than crab feasts with his family.
