It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Belinda Diana Gray, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, who left us peacefully. Belinda’s warm spirit, infectious laughter, and kind heart touched the lives of everyone she met.

Born in Leonardtown, MD and raised in Chaptico, Maryland, Belinda attended Chopticon High School, where she graduated with the Class of 1989. Shortly after, she set out to begin a new chapter in Washington, DC, bringing her bright, bubbly energy to every space she entered. Belinda began her career in retail and merchandising as an associate and transitioned to Assistant Manager, where her welcoming and vibrant personality made her a favorite among both customers and coworkers.

Belinda was a beacon of joy, always radiating excitement and love. She had a special fondness for cats, often filling her home with their comforting presence. But above all, her greatest pride and joy was her daughter, whom she cherished beyond words. Belinda’s love for her family was evident in everything she did—her laughter, her thoughtful words, and her unwavering support.

Belinda leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth. She is survived by her devoted husband James Paige of Washington, DC, her beloved daughter Kiara Bumbry of Washington, DC, her two loving sisters Darlene Briscoe of Leonardtown MD, Constance Williams of Laurel, MD, and two cherished brothers Tyrone Gray of Leonardtown, MD, and Richard Gray of Waldorf, MD. While her absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her, her spirit will continue to live on in the beautiful memories shared.

She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Agnes “Aggie” Gray, father Joseph “Bo Diddley” Gray, and beloved grandparents Catherine Briscoe, James Briscoe, Nancy Gray and Paul Gray, who now welcome her with open arms.

Belinda’s life was a beautiful tapestry of love, laughter, and light. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her.
