Dorothy "Dotty" Wathen

Dorothy Wathan, 93, of College Park, MD, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and pillar of her community. She was married to her beloved husband, Paul Wathen, for 67 years. Together, they built a life they loved with many cherished memories. Dorothy was the proud mother of four children: Cathleen Izzo (Lawrence Izzo), Michelle Burchick (Mark Burchick), Steve Wathen, and Bobby Wathen, a loving grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A lifelong resident of College Park, Dorothy was an active and dedicated member of her church and local community. Even at a young age, her unwavering faith and commitment to service made a profound impact on many.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, but her legacy of dedication and faith will live on through her family .

A funeral service will be held at Holy Redeemer Church of College Park, on January 28, 2025 at 10:00am

Dorothy's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all those who have supported them during this difficult time. She will forever be remembered as a woman of strength, and devotion.
