Juan Francisco Roque

Juan F. Roque , 66, of Silver Spring, Maryland, passed away on October 21, 2025.

Paco, his nickname since childhood, was born in San Salvador, El Salvador on January 18, 1959 and lived some time in Mexico before laying down roots in Maryland in 1989.

He will be remembered as many things like the handyman that could fix just about anything; or the soccer coach that made you run the same seemingly pointless drill over and over again until he thought he had taught you “the why”; or the passionate soccer fan, specially of his beloved “Selecta”, believing that one day he would see El Salvador make it back to a World Cup.

But most importantly Paco was a loving and devoted father to his daughters Tania and Nidia and proud grandfather to “his boys” Gabriel and Anthony and “his little princess” Elena. He is survived by his daughters Tania and Nidia; brother Carlos; sister Delmy; and a host of nephews, nieces, and other family and friends.

A viewing and celebration of Paco’s life will be held Sunday, October 26, at 12 p.m. at Borgwardt Funeral Home in Beltsville, MD.
