Marguerite Kincius died on July 15, 2025 at Grace House Assisted Living in Silver Spring, Maryland. She was a resident of Greenbelt for over 70 years. She recently celebrated turning 100 years this past February.
She was born in Mount Rainier, Maryland the youngest of five children and attended St. James Catholic Elementary School in Mount Rainier, and Immaculate Conception Academy High School for girls in Washington, D.C.
She began her career working for the Congress of Industrial Organization, and with the Federal Government in Washington, D.C.
In 1950, Marguerite met and married Kazimer Kincius and soon after moved into Greenbelt and began to raise a family of one girl and three boys.
She was a parishioner of St. Hugh of Grenoble Church and a member of the Ladies of Sodality.
In the early 1960’s she returned to the workforce at the Department of Agriculture in Beltsville, Maryland until she retired in 1987.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Bernadette O’Connor, Sister Marie Gregory, brothers Joseph O’Connor, Gregory O’Connor and husband Kazimer, Grandson Ryan Brown, and son Kevin Kincius.
Marguerite is survived by Mary Colleen Brown, Charles Kincius, Joseph Kincius, and eight grandchildren and seven great - grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
