Maria Laura Hernandez

With heavy hearts and deep love, we share that our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Laura, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, at the age of 71.

Laura was born in El Salvador and was a strong, caring, and faith-filled woman. She came to the United States to give her daughters a better life, always putting her family first. Everything she did was out of love.

Family meant everything to Laura. She believed in staying close and keeping her loved ones together. Her home was always open to anyone in need. She gave what she could, even when she didn’t have much, and always welcomed others with a warm heart and open arms.

Laura had many passions in life, but gardening was her greatest love. Tending to her plants and flowers was her way of connecting with life, with God, and with her family. Every flower she planted carried her care, and every garden she touched bloomed with the same tenderness with which she cared for her loved ones. She also loved to sing, dance, crochet, and was an excellent cook whose meals brought the family together. She especially loved the beach, riding the waves with joy and fearlessness. Her spirit was full of life and happiness.

She also had a beautiful heart. Laura taught us to forgive, to be kind, and to never hold a grudge. Even during her nearly ten-year battle with dementia and Alzheimer’s, she remained strong and full of grace.

She leaves behind a legacy of love in her daughters: Claudia, Lizeth, Karol, and Laura.

Her grandchildren: David, Adriana, Jennifer, Antony, Christian, Caitlyn, Joshua, and Beverly.

And her great-grandchildren: Kai, Alessandra, Andrés, Alayah, and a new baby expected in October 2025.

Although we are heartbroken, we are also thankful. Laura is now resting in peace, free from pain, and in the presence of the Lord. We find comfort in knowing she is finally at peace. Her love and strength will stay with us forever.

Con el corazón lleno de tristeza, pero también de profundo amor, compartimos que nuestra querida madre, abuela y bisabuela, Laura, partió en paz el 26 de Mayo de 2025, a la edad de 71 años.

Laura nació en El Salvador y fue una mujer fuerte, cariñosa y llena de fe. Emigró a los Estados Unidos para darles una vida mejor a sus hijas, siempre poniendo a su familia en primer lugar. Todo lo que hizo, lo hizo con amor.

La familia lo era todo para Laura. Siempre creyó en la unión familiar y en mantener a sus seres queridos cerca. Su hogar siempre estuvo abierto para quien lo necesitara. Daba lo que podía, incluso cuando no tenía mucho, y siempre recibía a los demás con un corazón cálido y los brazos abiertos.

Laura tenía muchas pasiones en la vida, pero la jardinería era su gran amor. Cuidar sus plantas y flores era su manera de conectar con la vida, con Dios y con su familia. Cada flor que sembraba llevaba su cariño, y cada jardín que tocaba florecía con la misma ternura con la que cuidaba a los suyos. También le encantaba cantar, bailar, tejer, y era una excelente cocinera cuyas comidas unían a la familia. Amaba especialmente la playa, montando las olas con alegría y sin miedo. Su espíritu estaba lleno de vida y felicidad.

También tenía un corazón hermoso. Laura nos enseñó a perdonar, a ser amables y a no guardar rencor. Incluso durante su batalla de casi diez años con la demencia y el Alzheimer, se mantuvo fuerte y llena de gracia.

Deja un legado de amor en sus hijas: Claudia, Lizeth, Karol y Laura.

Sus nietos: David, Adriana, Jennifer, Antony, Christian, Caitlyn, Joshua y Beverly.

Y sus bisnietos: Kai, Alessandra, Andrés, Alayah y un nuevo bebé que llegará en Octubre de 2025.

Aunque nuestros corazones están rotos, también estamos agradecidos. Laura ahora descansa en paz, libre de dolor y en la presencia del Señor. Nos consuela saber que por fin está en paz. Su amor, su fuerza y su pasión por la vida vivirán en nosotros para siempre.
